The International Accordion Festival of San Antonio is an annual event which is a music lover’s paradise that offers great music and dancing for people of all ages. The festival will kick off on Friday night with a moonlight concert at Arneson River Theatre and will be open to the public with FREE Admission all weekend.
The San Antonio 2010 International Accordion Festival is a true showcase of the most happening accordion music that features an extraordinary combination of artists from around the world. This festival is offered through a joint partnership with the Office of Cultural Affairs City of San Antonio which is dedicated to enhancing life through arts.
At this festival one will certainly enjoy the local sound tunes, regional rhythms, and the artists presenting global grooves. There will be great performances, workshops, open mics and jam sessions on multiple stages with the finest accordionists and talented dedicated artists. There will be three stages with ensembles from around the world playing everything from “Celtic to Creole, Conjunto to Quebecois, Cowboy to Klezmer, Chamame to Chicken Scratch and much, much more.”
During all the proceedings at the International Accordion Festival the organizers will also be taking good care of your taste buds, so make sure you come hungry as there will be a wide variety of foods and drinks available for sale as well as vendors with merchandise and souvenirs.
